Kid's Stop - Drop in Childcare
A GREAT CHILDCARE ALTERNATIVE
Kids Stop, conveniently located in the Watson Glen Shopping Center on Hwy 96 in Franklin, is the best alternative to your short term childcare needs. We are sure that you will find this to be a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for your children.
AGES SERVED:
We are equipped to care for children from six weeks to twelve years. There is a separate room for infants and toddlers. Please bring a generous supply of food and drinks for children this age. Also include pacifier, diapers, wipes, change of clothes, bottles and cups, etc. Please label everything. We ask that you ONLY send objects of security, as other toys are provided.
BEEPERS: The state requires that we be able to contact you at all times. We have a limited number of loaner beepers available for a small charge of $1.50 per day. If you will be somewhere unreachable (i.e. movie, errands, etc.( you will be required to take a beeper.
DISCIPLINE: Time-outs are the rule, generally one minute per year of age. If we have a problem child, we will call the parents for advice or to pick up the child.
POTTY TRAINERS: Children potty training or recently trained are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to come in a pull-up. Also, please send a change of clothes. Even those who are well trained may become distracted in our environment and should have a change of clothes.
ILLNESS: We do not have a separate area for sick children and cannot permit children with the following signs: fever, diarrhea, rash, colored discharge of the eyes or nose, head lice or chicken pox. If your child becomes ill, or we suspect your child to be ill while in our care you will be notified to pick up your child immediately. PLEASE BE AS CONSIDERATE AS YOU WANT OTHERS TO BE. IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT IN YOUR MIND IT'S BEST TO KEEP THEM AT HOME.
MEDICAL EMERGENCIES: In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, we will contact you or your emergency contact person immediately. If medical attention is warranted we will arrange for transportation to Williamson Medical Center. One of our staff will remain with your child at all times. Additionally, our regular staff is trained in Basic First Aid and CPR.
FOOD & DRINKS: We do offer meals and drinks to purchase, but you are free to bring your own. A refrigerator and microwave are both available. Please label everything. Candy, gum and suckers are not permitted and glass bottles are strongly discouraged. We do have a supply of snacks and drinks available for you to purchase, but if you've not given permission for your child to have them, they will only be given water.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
We are open
Monday - Wednesday 8:30am - 9:00pm
Thursday - 8:30am - 10:00pm
Friday - 8:30am - 12:00 Midnight
Saturday - 9:00am - 12:00 midnight
Sunday - 1:00pm - 8:00pm (reservations only)
We will close promply at the designated times and ask your cooperation in being on time. We will allow a 5 minute grace period after which we will impose a $1.00 per minute late fee.
RESERVATIONS: In order to be sure that we are adequately staffed, we operate on a reservation basis. This will enable you to have peace of mind, knowing that your children are guaranteed a place and that you won't be turned away unexpectedly should we be full. As a courtesy to others, please call and cancel your reservation as soon as you know you won't be coming. If you are not here within 30 minutes of your scheduled time and have not notified us of your delay, your spot may be forfeited if others are waiting. If you come without a reservation we will be glad to accommodate your child if we are not full or don't expect to be full based on the number of reservations.
LOST & FOUND: Items left will be tagged and dated, then put in our lost and found box. We will kepp them 30 days, then give them to goodwill.
REGISTRATION FEE:
$10.00 per family first year
$5.00 each ear thereafter
